The Pointe-Noire International Green Business Forum
The City of Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo will host the 7th edition of the International Green Business Forum from the 17th to the 19st of May. This event was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2010. It is co-organized by the Congolese Government and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
The choice of How technology and innovation can promote green economy in Sub-saharan Africa as the Forum’s theme is in response to the most pressing development challenge on the region, and in line with the Chamber’s strategic focus. The Forum will be an important opportunity to continue the dialogue between government, civil society, development partners and the private sector.
The Forum program is composed of plenary sessions engaging all stakeholders and open panel discussions. The interactive format provides an opportunity for the participants to share their perspectives, experiences, and best practices on how to promote sustainable and broad-based development. Furthermore, the discussion will explore innovative partnership opportunities, new business models related to social business and the green economy that will enable deeper transformation of the Central African economies in this rapidly changing global order.
